Teluma for iPhone, iPad and Mac

Privacy Policy

Teluma collects no personal data. It has no accounts, no backend and no analytics. This policy explains what the app stores on your device, what it connects to, and why there is nothing for us to hold.

Effective 4 September 2026 · Applies to the Teluma iOS, iPadOS and macOS application (app.teluma.ios)

1. Who we are

Teluma is published by FaceyIT FZ-LLC, Compass Building, Al Shohada Road, Al Hamra Industrial Zone-FZ, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. For any question about this policy, write to [email protected].

Teluma is a media player. It does not include, host, sell or provide channels, streams or other content. Everything it plays comes from a playlist link that you supply.

2. Data we collect: none

We operate no server for the app, so there is no place for your data to arrive. We do not collect, receive, store, sell or share any personal data. Specifically, Teluma contains:

  • no Teluma account, registration or sign-in of any kind — the only credentials in the app are your own provider’s, and they stay in the Keychain on your device;
  • no analytics, crash-reporting or attribution SDK;
  • no advertising and no advertising identifiers;
  • no third-party software development kits at all;
  • no tracking across apps or websites, so no App Tracking Transparency prompt appears.

The privacy manifest shipped inside the app (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy) declares no collected data types and no tracking domains, matching the App Privacy answers on the App Store product page.

3. What the app stores on your device

All of the following stays on your device and, where noted, in your own iCloud account. None of it is transmitted to us.

What
Where
Playlist and guide URLs that contain provider credentials
iOS Keychain, never in plain text
Your parental PIN
iOS Keychain
Source names, favourite lists, hidden and locked channels, recently watched (maximum 20, keyed by a hash of the stream rather than its URL)
App preferences on device
Channel lists, guide data, channel logos and, for Xtream accounts, the film and series catalogue including the episode lists of series you open
On-device caches and a local database
Preferences: language, channel sort order, time format, and which version of the terms you accepted and when
iCloud key-value store, in your own iCloud account, which we cannot access
Playback settings, such as whether audio continues in the background
App preferences on device
The start date of your free trial, and a marker recording the furthest date this device has reached
iOS Keychain

Deleting the app removes everything above except the two trial records in the Keychain. Those hold two dates and nothing else — no identity, no usage — and they stay so that reinstalling the app does not hand out a second free trial. Preferences held in your iCloud key-value store are removed by iOS according to your iCloud settings.

4. What the app connects to

Teluma makes network requests only to:

  • the hosts in the playlist, guide and stream URLs you entered, and the Xtream servers of an account you added;
  • the channel logo, poster and thumbnail addresses your provider supplies, in your playlist or through its panel;
  • Apple's App Store, for subscription purchase, restore and status.

There is no request to any server of ours, because the app has none. Requests to your provider necessarily reveal to that provider your IP address, the approximate time of the request and what you asked for — this is inherent to streaming and is governed by your provider's privacy policy, not by ours.

The app permits plain HTTP connections because IPTV providers commonly serve over HTTP and the addresses are supplied by you at runtime. Where your provider offers HTTPS, prefer it.

5. Permissions

Teluma requests only what a feature you use requires:

  • Calendar, write-only — asked for only if you choose to add a calendar reminder for a programme. The event contains the programme title, the channel name and the time; it never contains a stream URL or your credentials. It is written to your default calendar, which may be one you share with other people.
  • Notifications — asked for only if you choose a notification reminder instead.

Teluma never requests location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or health data, and it has no access to other apps' data.

6. Subscriptions and Apple

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We never see your name, payment card, billing address or Apple Account details. Apple provides us only with aggregated, non-identifying sales and subscription reports.

Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's own privacy policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.

7. Content from third parties

Playlists, guide data, channel logos and streams come from providers chosen by you. We have no relationship with them, do not verify them and cannot control what they log or how they treat your data. Review your provider's terms and privacy policy before adding their link.

8. Age

Teluma is intended for users aged 18 and over, because it plays unmoderated third-party streams that we neither curate nor classify. It is not directed to children, and we knowingly collect nothing from anyone, of any age.

9. Your rights

Data protection laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA and the UAE Personal Data Protection Law give you rights of access, correction, deletion, portability and objection over personal data held about you. We hold none, so in practice there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export or erase.

To erase everything the app has stored, delete the app from your device. If you would like written confirmation that we hold no data about you, ask at [email protected] and we will confirm.

10. Security

Credential-bearing URLs and your PIN are held in the iOS Keychain, protected by the operating system and the device passcode. Credentials are never written to logs, never included in reminder payloads and never transmitted anywhere except to the provider host they address.

11. Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version is published on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the release notes of the version that introduces them.
