Teluma collects no personal data. It has no accounts, no backend and no analytics. This policy explains what the app stores on your device, what it connects to, and why there is nothing for us to hold.
Effective 2 September 2026 · Applies to the Teluma Android application (app.teluma.android)

Teluma is a media player. It does not include, host, sell or provide channels, streams or other content. Everything it plays comes from a playlist link that you supply.
We operate no server for the app, so there is no place for your data to arrive. We do not collect, receive, store, sell or share any personal data. The Data safety declaration on the Google Play listing says the same: no data collected, no data shared. Specifically, Teluma contains:
The only third-party library that talks to a network is Google Play Billing, used to sell the subscription.
All of the following stays on your device. None of it is transmitted to us.
Uninstalling the app removes all of it.
Android Auto Backup and phone-to-phone transfer are enabled for preferences only. Your source names, language and other settings move to a new device; the encrypted credential store and the channel database are deliberately excluded from both, because stream URLs can carry a provider login in the address itself.
On a new device you re-enter your playlist link once. Anything that is backed up is held in your own Google account under Google's terms; we have no access to it.
Teluma makes network requests only to:
There is no request to any server of ours, because the app has none. Requests to your provider necessarily reveal to that provider your IP address, the approximate time of the request and what you asked for — this is inherent to streaming and is governed by your provider's privacy policy, not by ours.
The network security configuration permits plain HTTP because IPTV providers commonly serve over HTTP and the addresses are supplied by you at runtime. Where your provider offers HTTPS, prefer it.
Google Play Billing adds the billing permission it requires in order to sell the subscription. Apart from that, Teluma declares two permissions, both granted at install and neither of which reads personal data:
Two further permissions are requested at the moment you use the feature that needs them, and only then:
Teluma never requests location, camera, microphone, contacts, phone state, storage or nearby-device access.
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Google through Google Play Billing. We never see your name, payment card, billing address or Google account details. Google provides us only with aggregated, non-identifying sales and subscription reports.
Google's handling of your purchase is governed by Google's own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Playlists, guide data, channel logos and streams come from providers chosen by you. We have no relationship with them, do not verify them and cannot control what they log or how they treat your data. Review your provider's terms and privacy policy before adding their link.
Teluma is intended for users aged 18 and over, because it plays unmoderated third-party streams that we neither curate nor classify. The Google Play target audience is set to adults; the app is not directed to children, and we knowingly collect nothing from anyone, of any age.
Data protection laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA and the UAE Personal Data Protection Law give you rights of access, correction, deletion, portability and objection over personal data held about you. We hold none, so in practice there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export or erase.
To erase everything the app has stored, uninstall it, or clear its data from Android's app settings. If you would like written confirmation that we hold no data about you, ask at [email protected] and we will confirm.
Credential-bearing URLs and your PIN are encrypted with a key held in the Android Keystore, which is bound to the device and cannot be extracted or restored elsewhere. Credentials are never written to logs, never included in reminder payloads and never transmitted anywhere except to the provider host they address.
If this policy changes, the revised version is published on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the release notes of the version that introduces them.
This policy describes the app as a whole, including features that arrive in later versions — programme reminders, Xtream accounts and the film catalogue among them. Where a feature is not present in the version you have installed, neither is anything it would store. Nothing described here is collected by us in any version.
