Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Teluma (“the App”, “we”, “us”), a native iOS application published by FaceyIT FZ-LLC (Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates), handles information. Teluma is a media player for playlists that you provide. The short version: we designed Teluma so that we collect nothing about you.

1. Our core principle

Teluma has no user accounts, no backend server, no analytics, and no advertising. The App does not create a profile of you, does not track your viewing, and does not transmit your data to us — because there is no “us” server for it to reach. Everything the App needs to work lives on your device.

2. Information we do not collect

We do not collect, receive, store, or have any access to:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or any account credentials (there are no accounts).
• Your playlist URLs, channel lists, or the credentials embedded in them.
• What channels or programmes you watch, when, or for how long.
• Your location, device identifiers, advertising IDs, or contacts.
• Any analytics, crash telemetry, or usage statistics tied to you.

3. Information stored on your device

To function, Teluma stores the following locally on your device only:

• Playlist sources (the M3U/M3U8 URLs you add) and any playlist credentials, kept securely in the iOS Keychain.
• Your preferences — favorites, recently watched, language, theme, and EPG sources.
• Parental-control PIN and locked categories, stored in the iOS Keychain.
• Caches of channel lists and program-guide (EPG) data, so the App launches instantly. These regenerate automatically and can be cleared by deleting the App.

This information never leaves your device except, at your option, to your own private iCloud (see below). We cannot read any of it.

4. iCloud

If you enable iCloud on your device, iOS may back up or sync your App settings through your own private Apple iCloud account. This data is controlled by you and governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. FaceyIT FZ-LLC has no access to your iCloud data.

5. Third parties

Your IPTV / playlist provider

When you play a stream, your device connects directly to the server specified in your playlist. That provider — not Teluma — receives the network requests needed to deliver the stream (for example your IP address, as any website would). We are not a party to that connection and do not proxy, log, or intercept it. The provider’s own privacy policy and terms govern that relationship.

Apple

Teluma is distributed through the Apple App Store. Downloads, subscriptions, and payments are handled entirely by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy. We receive only aggregate, anonymous sales and download reports from Apple that cannot identify you individually.

6. Subscriptions and payments

If Teluma offers a paid subscription, all billing is processed by Apple through your App Store account. We never see or store your payment card details. Apple shares with us only the anonymized transaction information required to grant and validate your subscription.

7. Children’s privacy

Teluma is not directed at children and is intended for a mature audience (rated 17+). Because playlist content is supplied by you and not curated by us, the App includes an optional parental-control PIN that lets you lock categories. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Security

Sensitive values such as playlist credentials and your parental PIN are stored in the iOS Keychain, the operating system’s hardware-backed secure store. Because no data is transmitted to or held by us, there is no central database of user data that could be breached.

9. Your rights and control

Because all of your data lives on your own device, you are always in full control of it. You can add or remove playlists and preferences at any time inside the App, and you can erase everything Teluma stores simply by deleting the App. Under applicable data-protection laws — including the UAE Federal Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and, where relevant, the EU GDPR — you have rights of access, correction, and erasure over personal data; since we hold no personal data about you, these are exercised directly on your device.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves or as required by law. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page at teluma.app/privacy.
